Fifth Year Architecture Studio work (ARC502 AUS, Spring 2016): The Architecture of Remoteness: Imaginary Mutations This semester the studio will continue to investigate new relations between the territories of science, nature and fiction. The work will combine digital and analogue techniques that often see the work moving between digital and manually crafted images, collages and models several times during the composition of a drawing. The project for this semester we will continue the investigation of time-based programs explored through the relationship between machines, landscapes as infrastructures and temporariness in architecture. We will begin by a dynamic condition and observation (such as a fragment or material behavior) as an agent to generate collages and models. The process will then will follow digital / scripted iterations or material behaviors tests leading to fabrication and representation. Sequence: (form_de_form_re_form_trans_form_in_form_super_form) Design Stages: 1. Catalyst 2. Mutations 3. Remoteness 4. Setting 5.1. Digital Process 5.2. Physical Process 6. Vessel 7. Materiality 8. Model and Representation
